About Me
I live in a wee hamlet in the Cairn valley, amidst the rolling hills of beautiful south-west Scotland.
Coming from a family of artists, needlewomen and crafters, I found my own niche when, unable to find a handbag to match an outfit, I simply made my own.
Friends and colleagues, on seeing that first bag, asked me to make them bags to their own specifications. I soon realised that I had the potential to make a serious business out of my new hobby and now stock them in various outlets in and around Dumfries.
I am passionate about fabrics, handbags and fashion; these together with my love of sewing and crafting and my interest in all things vintage led to the launch of the Lizzie-Ann Bags label.
I have many styles ranging from vintage/retro, casual totes and stylish day bags to glitzy evening and special occasion bags.
I also make small purses, make-up bags, pencil cases and jewellery rolls.
Among the fabrics used are, velvet, satin, silk, brocade, taffeta, tweed, tartan, faux suede, faux fur.
The bags can be trimmed with various braids and velvet ribbon, embellished with beads, sequins, charms, buckles, appliqué or detachable corsages - which are also handcrafted by me.
Prices vary according to the type and amount of fabric, the number of internal pockets and time.
Lizzie-Ann Bags are made to a high quality and because I pre-wash and tumble dry all fabrics prior to making up (even silk, wool and velvet) most can be machine washed on a short cycle at a low temperature and gently tumble dried. However, customers do so at their own risk.
If you are unsure, don’t hesitate to contact me.

I hope you have as much pleasure looking at my bags as I did making them and even more pleasure if you buy one!
